He was considered a village stalwart who contributed to the socio-cultural development of Preysal. As a boy growing up in a world without many of the modern essential amenities, he was just very contented playing cricket all day with a bat made of a coconut branch and a green ‘chinee’ tamarind as a ball, a world so different from the one we are familiar with today.""
